BI gave us an appreciation of Christians from other denominations and differing Doctrinal positions, while we all agreed on the fundamental Evangelical Doctrinal position.

After BI Terence served as minister at Bridgetown Presbyterian Church in Cape Town, with responsibility for Bonteheuwel and Kensington preaching places as well. When Jean (nee Lochore) completed BI, we were married, and continued at Bridgetown together in the ministry. Our son Andrew was born in CT.

In 1970 we moved to the Transvaal where we were both very involved at the Assembly of God in Nigel, where Jean’s Father was the Pastor. After he retired and took up an appointment at a Baptist Church, we served at Dunnottar Baptist church in leadership roles, as the church was without a minister. We led the Sunday School and Terence sometimes preached there and at various Methodist churches in the area. Our next three children: Stephen, Karen and Michael were all born during this time.

In 1981 Nampak Flexible Packaging transferred us to KZN. We joined up with CESA in Pinetown, knowing Joe Bell who was the Bishop. We both led the EE Three ministry for some years and Terence also became SS Superintendent. Jean taught in Sunday School and led ladies Bible Studies. Joe Bell then asked Terence to agree to be ordained into the CESA ministry. He served in a “tent making” ministry for some years, preaching at various churches in Durban and down the South Coast.

In 1991 Nampak retrenched Terence, and after five months without work, Terence found employment with Kohler Flexible Packaging in Johannesburg. We continued in a “Tent Making “Ministry with CESA, serving at Weltevreden Park and preaching at various other CESA churches.

In 1994, due to doctrinal reasons, we joined the Honeyridge Baptist Church. We have continued at Honeyridge up to the present time. Terence has served as a Deacon and later as an Elder. We both led the EE Three ministry for some years. Terence assisted by preaching and teaching at various of our Black Baptist Churches in the Rustenburg and surrounding areas, while they were waiting for ministers. He has been a Worship Leader at Honeyridge for some years, but then stepped down in favour of some younger folk. During this time, Jean worked in Life Bookroom for 5 years and then joined Multi Ministries and served for 5 years, running the Bookshop, and often holding book tables at various different churches

Presently we are leading a Bible Study in our retirement Village and conduct a monthly non- denominational Christian meeting in our village.

We are very thankful to God for His Grace in blessing us with a measure of health that enables us to continue to serve Him.
