    Nico Bougas

Nico in AthensFollowing my graduation from BI I joined the staff of Youth for Christ in December 1965 where I Nico-in-Athensserved as Club Director and then Editor of the YFC publication, IN Magazine and eventually started up a Christian literature distribution company called Rainbow distributors.  In 1982 I sold Rainbow and together with my wife, Bee and two children went to Wheaton College in the USA to do a M.Div in communications.

Whilst there I did some preaching for 2nd Presbyterian Church in Aurora Illinois and they invited me to be their pastor.  I agreed to stay as interim pastor whilst they looked for a permanent pastor.  Eventually after 2 more years I found someone for them and returned to Cape Town as minister at St Andrews CESA in Pinelands.  About 18 months later I accepted the position as Editor of Christian Living Today where I served for the next 20 years.

In October 2008 I took on the role of International Director of Development with Hellenic Ministries. As the son of a Greek father I had burden for the Greek people and realised that this was desperately under-evangelised nation where less than 0.2% of the population considered themselves to be born again or evangelical believers. My current role involves frequent travel as we seek to develop contacts and representatives in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, the USA and the UK.  There remains much land to be possessed but we want to continue advancing steadily and always be abounding in the work of the Lord.
